Gene Tierney in Thunder Birds, 1942

Hello everyone! Today, I drew some inspiration from the beautiful star Gene Tierney from Thunder Birds. It's a film made in World War II time to encourage American citizens to support the war.

I love how her makeup is so perfect even when she is in the water. Ha ha. Yeah right, Hollywood.

If I were to interpret this look for today, I would use a flannel (this one is a men's flannel), and put a necklace with it to make it more girly. I also rolled up some jeans and wore chunky heels! (I'm 5'2").

I still LOVE having my hair short. I pulled back some of the longer layers in the front so it looks shorter than usual, but I still like it. It feels so good to have it off my neck :).

Anyway, today is Summer Solstice which is exciting! The longest day of the year! It's so nice that it falls on a Saturday. I hope you guys plan on having some fun tonight!

Thanks for stopping by!

xoxo Miranda
