Please excuse me while I'm over here obsessing over Joan Holloway.
She has the best style. The lines are simple and flatter her very curvy figure.
Although Joan has my favorite collection of clothes on the show, all of the sixties style on Mad Men appeals to me. It's all very classy, at least at the beginning of the 1960s. Skirts fall below the knee. Hair is pulled back into elegant updos. Sometimes you can even see someone pulling off a leather glove.
Joan Holloway prefers slim skirts and a necklace that doubles as a pen. Her style is reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe.
Then there is Betty Draper. I like her style, too. She reminds me more of Grace Kelly than Marilyn Monroe.
Of course, while I am here, I can't forget about the men's fashion, too.
I'm pretty sure that we're actually not supposed to love Don Draper, but he's just so gosh darn handsome...
What's your opinion on sixties style? Should we bring it back or leave it behind?
xoxo Miranda
