Norma Jeane, 1940s

Ah, yes, the ever elusive Norma Jeane before she became Marilyn Monroe.

This photograph was taken in the late 1940's. You can tell because of her hairstyle. Marilyn cut it off in the beginning of 1951 when she emerged as a new star.

I do not know what this picture was taken for or where, but she looks much younger and less glamorous than the Marilyn Monroe of the 1950's.

I love the bow tie around the neckline of her top. That accent has been back for a while, with women tying their bow ties in different ways and in different places. It can be very flattering and beautiful.

Marilyn is wearing black slacks in this picture, but I opted for black denim for a slightly more casual-friday look.

My life has been crazy hectic this week, as always. Luckily I have a planner! I live by that thing.

For Halloween this year I am dressing up as Catwoman! I think. I might still change my mind, although now I've spent a little money on it, so I don't think there is any going back now.

What are you dressing up as?

xoxo Miranda
